Brockie Renovations is a Nelson building renovations specialist, formerly known as Paul Brockie Builders. For more than 20 years our focus has been on renovation projects across the Top-of-the-South. This is our home town, and we love to work on the wonderful homes in this beautiful region.
As we know the region well, we can steer you in the right direction before your house plans are developed, and then work closely with you and your chosen architect or draughtsperson to ensure your renovation house plans are executed with the utmost care and precision, and within budget.

Our team are experienced Registered Master Builders and Licensed Building Practitioners. We have renovated heritage villas, 1960’s brick and tile homes, art deco stucco homes, and 1980’s plasterboard homes. We’ve come across every issue you can imagine when renovating, so we know what to look out for, and we know how to solve anything a house renovation project can throw at us.
Since 1995, we have won eight regional and two national Registered Master Builders House of the Year awards specifically for alternation projects. (And by the way, we have also won nine regional and two national Registered Master Builders House of the Year awards for new home builds).
We attribute much of the company’s ongoing success to the retention of a skilled workforce, and the strong focus on client care by all our builders, qualified sub-contractors and administrators who work on a project.

Paul Brockie – Managing Director Paul Brockie leads the Brockie Renovations team, having spent nearly a lifetime building and renovating homes in Christchurch and Nelson. He established Paul Brockie Builders, now Brockie Renovations, in 1991. Over the years Paul has managed a number of new home builds as well as renovation projects, with renovations being the firm’s main focus.

Geoff McCullough – Company Manager Geoff is a registered certified builder with over 38 years’ experience in the industry, with 34 of those focused on project costing, project managing and managing companies.
He has been involved in a wide range of residential and light commercial work, from design and build group housing, minor and major renovations, kitset housing, architecturally designed high-value homes and multi-million dollar unit developments.
Brockie Renovations is the perfect place for me, as I am a details man. I enjoy getting things right, and making a beautiful job of renovating properties. Renovating is a challenge for many builders – not all builders can work with older buildings, but our team can – and we love doing it!
